Bentley Systems, Incorporated, the leading company dedicated to providing comprehensive software solutions for sustaining infrastructure, has released 10.00.00.17 version of gINT CONNECT Edition Professional Plus. CONNECT Edition is a major update to their whole platform that “is to provide, for the first time, a common environment for comprehensive project delivery.”

Bentley Systems Incorporated unveiled its CONNECT Edition generation of software, succeeding Bentley’s V8.

Bentley said the CONNECT Edition supports a “hybrid computing environment” across desktop modeling applications, cloud services, on-premise servers, and mobile apps. Use of Microsoft’s Azure cloud services connects users across projects and provides greater computational capabilities for more rapid, expanded analysis of multiple designs — a process Bentley calls “optioneering.”

The CONNECT Edition provides a personalized “Playlist” of Bentley applications and apps for each user based on their role in a project, and a project-specific “Playbook” that recommends appropriate Bentley applications and apps. Through the cloud, each project also can be provided catalogs of functional components, which Bentley describes as “parametrically defined, intelligent objects with appropriate contextual behavior,” and managed specifications to incorporate and reference.

In support of what Bentley calls “information mobility,” Navigator CONNECT Edition gives users the same interface across Windows, Android, and iOS devices. Mobile i-models and a new managed issue resolution service helps field users resolve clashes and punch lists. ProjectWise WorkSite CONNECT Edition provides project document review and redlining capabilities for field workers.
