This installation may take an hour or more.<\/p>\n<div class=\"warning\">\n<ul>\n<li>This document is written based on installing SAS 9.4 on Windows 7 64-bit version.<\/li>\n<li>In this installation only the SAS Foundation was chosen to be installed.\u00a0 If you choose to install the additional products your installation will very depending the products that you have chosen.\u00a0 Please follow any additional prompts during the install.<\/li>\n<li>The images and instructions below may be different if you are installing on a 32-bit version of windows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Installation Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>You should have picked up 6 DVD discs or USB Key for the installation from <a href=\"http:\/\/software.unc.edu\">Software Acquisition<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>License File \u2013 Please note that if the SAS Installation Data File on the media is expired please go to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/software.unc.edu\/sas\" target=\"_top\">https:\/\/software.unc.edu\/sas<\/a>\u00a0and download an updated SAS Installation Data File.<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 \u2013 Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate Editions.<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Windows 8 and 8.1 \u2013 Professional and Enterprise.<\/li>\n<li>The Windows login\u00a0<strong>must<\/strong>\u00a0have Windows Administrator privileges to install.<\/li>\n<li>At least 13 GB free space for the install (based on SAS Foundation being installed, may require more depending on the products chosen to install).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information on installation requirements, see the PDF document\u00a0Systems \">\n<p><strong>1.\u00a0<\/strong>Start Windows<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.\u00a0<\/strong>Close ALL other Windows applications including virus-scanning programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0<\/strong>Insert the SAS 9.4 DVD (disc 1) into your DVD drive or USB Key.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Run the \u201csetup.exe\u201d from root of the disc SAS_99YTT3_ds01 or the root of the USB Key if the installation does not start automatically.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Once you run this you should be prompted by User Account Control (UAC).\u00a0 Click <strong>Yes<\/strong>.<a
